On May 22, 2025, the 15th National Geothermal Conference with the theme of "Geothermal+New Quality Productivity, Supporting Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality" was grandly opened in Beijing. As a high-level industry event in China's geothermal field, this conference brings together government leaders, national academicians, industry experts, and representatives of leading enterprises to jointly explore the high-quality development path of the geothermal industry. Gui Xiaoyang, Deputy Director of the New and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, emphasized in his speech at the conference that geothermal energy is an important pillar of China's new energy system, and its large-scale development has strategic significance for achieving the "dual carbon" goal.

The "2025 National Geothermal Energy and Ground Source Heat Pump Exhibition" held concurrently with the conference comprehensively showcased the cutting-edge achievements of geothermal energy technology innovation. Yantai Land Air Conditioning Industry Co., Ltd., as a benchmark enterprise in the industry, showcased its core products such as high-temperature centrifugal heat pump units, which were independently developed and designed, at the exhibition. Land is committed to providing one-stop solutions for heat pump district heating and cooling. Through efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly high-temperature heat pump technology, it recovers waste heat from low-level heat sources such as industrial cooling water, urban reclaimed water and sewage, geothermal water, boiler flue gas, and air, and produces high-temperature hot water to be transported to the district heating network to meet the heating needs of users. Among them, the application of Land high-temperature centrifugal heat pump in the heating of medium and deep geothermal energy cascade utilization areas is one of the important measures to achieve low-carbon and zero carbon heating.

At the 2025 "Geothermal+" Excellent Brand Promotion Event held concurrently with the conference, Yantai Land was awarded the "Excellent Brand · Product Award" for its outstanding performance and market performance of high-temperature centrifugal heat pump units. This award is rigorously evaluated by an authoritative expert committee based on multiple dimensions such as technological innovation, energy efficiency level, and application effectiveness, marking the highly recognized benchmark position of Land products in the industry. The Land high-temperature centrifugal heat pump unit has achieved efficient cascade utilization of mid to deep geothermal resources by breaking through the temperature limitations of traditional heat pumps. Its comprehensive energy efficiency ratio and low-carbon contribution have set a new benchmark for the industry.

Yantai Land has always been committed to technological breakthroughs and engineering practices in the development and utilization of mid to deep geothermal energy. Its high-temperature centrifugal heat pump technology has been successfully applied in multiple mid to deep geothermal energy cascade utilization projects. Among them, as one of the first zero carbon energy demonstration projects in Xiong'an New Area, Xiong'an New Area No.1 Energy Station is provided with core heat pump equipment and system integration services by Land. The heat load of the first phase of the project is 30MW, using medium to deep geothermal water (outlet temperature of 65 ℃) as the heat source. Through cascade heat exchange and heat pump heating, the temperature of the reclaimed water is reduced to below 20 ℃, and the temperature of the secondary network water supply is increased to above 80 ℃, meeting the clean heating needs of 1 million square meters of Xiong'an High speed Railway Station and High speed Railway New City. The comprehensive energy efficiency of the system is as high as 8.55. The thermal load of the second phase project has been expanded to 43MW, and the geothermal water flow rate has been increased to 780m ³/h. It is currently in stable operation, further expanding the coverage of zero carbon energy.

In addition to the benchmark project in Xiong'an New Area, Land heat pump technology has been successfully applied to dozens of mid to deep geothermal projects in Shaanxi, Shandong, Hebei and other places, with a cumulative service area of over 10 million square meters and an annual reduction of nearly one million tons of carbon dioxide emissions, becoming the core support for regional energy green transformation.

Yantai Land will take this award as a driving force to continue deepening the research and development of high-temperature heat pump technology, expanding the multi scenario application of geothermal energy in industry, construction, agriculture and other fields, actively serving the national energy structure transformation with "efficient, intelligent and zero carbon" energy solutions, and contributing to the achievement of global carbon neutrality goals.
