Zhou Lin, Chairman and General Manager of Yantai Land, reviewed the company's 24 year development history to the press team in the production workshop. The company's technical director Qi Fei introduced that Yantai Land not only undertook three national torch plan projects, but also participated as the main drafting unit in the development of the national standard GB/T25861-2010 "Steam Compression Cycle Water Source High Temperature Heat Pump Unit". In 2015, the company's centrifugal heat pump unit won the "Innovation Special Contribution Award". Qi Fei pointed out that the application scenarios of Land heat pump technology have expanded from building heating to high energy consuming industries such as petroleum, chemical, and electronics, providing stable and efficient process cooling or heating solutions for these industries and achieving independent controllability of key technologies.
In terms of industrial waste heat utilization, Qi Fei explained to reporters the enormous economic and environmental value of Land technology. The efficient heat pump system of Yantai Land can effectively recover waste heat resources such as industrial wastewater, high-temperature flue gas, and compressed air discharged from industrial production, and convert them into high-temperature hot water, which can be reused in process or regional heating. She gave an example to illustrate that applying this technology in a 1 million square meter residential heating project can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 50000 tons per year, equivalent to the carbon sequestration benefits generated by planting 280000 trees.
At present, Yantai Land's heat pump technology has been successfully applied in more than 2000 projects across the country, replacing over one million tons of standard coal, and exploring a practical and effective technological path for low-carbon transformation in industrial waste heat recovery and regional clean heating. The company has established a comprehensive technical system for different heat sources and application scenarios, and related projects have been implemented on a large scale in large-scale energy stations in Hebei, Shaanxi, Shandong and other places; A waste heat recovery system developed with precision targeting pain points in the industrial sector has created multiple benchmark projects in industries such as chemical, cogeneration, tire manufacturing, petroleum refining, printing and dyeing textiles. Among them, the solution implemented for a certain petrochemical enterprise achieved significant benefits of saving over 50% of annual operating costs.
