The geothermal heating full replacement project in the urban area of Zhanhua District, Binzhou City, is the first demonstration project of integrated geothermal heating in Shandong Province. It is jointly built by the Zhanhua District Government and Sinopec Green Source Geothermal Energy (Shandong) Development Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 450 million yuan. The project aims to replace 100% geothermal heating with coal-fired heating in urban areas, covering a heating area of approximately 5.0891 million square meters. Seven centralized geothermal stations will be built to replace the original two coal-fired heat sources and create a clean heating "Zhanhua mode".

The project adopts the process flow of "indirect heat exchange+cascade utilization+mining and irrigation balance", combined with the technical route of "mid deep geothermal+shallow ground source heat pump+multi energy complementarity". Land provides 14 centrifugal heat pump units for 5 of the heat exchange stations, with a single unit heating capacity of 3700kW to 5100kW, providing core equipment support to ensure efficient development and stable heating of geothermal resources.

At present, the project has been running steadily, and the satisfaction rate of residents in the first complete heating season has exceeded 95%. After completion, it will reduce the consumption of standard coal by about 46000 tons and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 146000 tons per year, which will not only improve heating quality and reduce energy costs for residents, but also help the construction of near zero carbon cities in the region.
