Electronic manufacturing industry

Dedicated refrigeration units for data centers are core key infrastructure in the electronics manufacturing industry, ensuring constant temperature and humidity for ultra-precise production processes, handling high heat dissipation density, and achieving extremely reliable and energy-efficient operation.

Current Situation / Pain Point

The process environment requires stringent conditions

The process environment requires stringent conditions

Electronic manufacturing, especially semiconductor wafer manufacturing, advanced packaging, display panel (OLED/LCD) production, and data center cooling, has extremely high requirements for refrigeration systems, cooling water temperature (often requiring ±0.1-0.2℃), and flow stability.

High heat dissipation density

High heat dissipation density

With the continuous miniaturization of chip manufacturing processes and the increase in chip size, the heat generation per unit area of manufacturing equipment has risen exponentially. At the same time, the power density of auxiliary facilities supporting production (such as data centers and supercomputing platforms) has also increased sharply, posing a risk of thermal capacity bottlenecks and energy consumption loss of control for traditional cooling solutions.

High energy costs

High energy costs

The electricity consumption of the refrigeration system in an electronic manufacturing factory can account for 30%-40% or even more of the total electricity consumption. Under the "dual carbon" goals and cost control, improving refrigeration energy efficiency is a vital necessity for the survival of enterprises.

Solution

System objective:

The dedicated refrigeration unit for data centers achieves nanometer-level temperature control accuracy, meets the demand for ultra-high heat dissipation density, and provides "zero fluctuation, zero interruption, and high efficiency" cold source guarantee for electronic manufacturing.

Specific plan

1. Adopting dedicated refrigeration units for data centers

The dedicated refrigeration unit for data centers operates extremely smoothly, achieving a water temperature control accuracy on the order of ±0.01℃, and its energy efficiency at partial loads far exceeds that of traditional units. Additionally, the unit has extremely low vibration, perfectly fitting the precision manufacturing environment that is sensitive to micro-vibration.

2. Construct a gradient refrigeration system to cope with high heat dissipation density

The "gradient temperature zone and quality-based cooling" architecture is adopted to cope with high heat dissipation density, achieve cascade utilization of energy, and enhance the overall energy efficiency of the system.

3. Integrated intelligent control system

Deeply integrate the refrigeration unit with the Distributed Control System (DCS) or Building Automation System (BAS) of the entire plant. The system can intelligently adjust the number of operating units, operating frequency, and cooling tower fan speed based on production plans, environmental temperature, and real-time load, achieving coordinated optimal operation of the entire cooling water system (including chillers, pumps, and cooling towers) and tapping into the overall energy-saving potential.
